30 million children rely on school for food, and with schools closed across the country, these children are extra vulnerable. Millions of families with school-aged children will lose up to two free meals a day, resulting in a significant demand increase from hardworking families in need of emergency support.
The Grand Kids Foundation has zero operating expenses, with 100% of all proceeds directly benefitting our community partners. We also encourage supporters to make direct donations to our long-time partners via the below links.
This initiative from the Grand Kids Foundation focuses on food insecurity and has donated more than thirty-seven million meals to children and families in need. We will match all donations, which will directly support our national and local Grand Giving food bank partners.
The “essential workforce” is out there risking their lives to help save ours. Please join us in supporting these hard-working people with the donation of a contact-free catering delivery to your local hospital or medical center. Together we can help feed the men and women out on the front lines and do our part to support local restaurants during this time.
Additionally, we remain committed to our mission of teaching kids the power of education, fitness, and nutrition. We’ll be joining our partners at Playworks in sharing safe at-home games and physical activities for kids home from school, and encouraging parents to take advantage of Scholastic Learn at Home, a free virtual learning resource center for grades Pre-K to 9, featuring 20 days of lessons across all content areas.
In unexpected times like these, we are so grateful for your ongoing generosity and support of the Grand Kids Foundation.
